Hosted two visits from Africa – Mercy Chidi Ogbonna in April/May and November

 

Sponsored two children in Nairobi – Ezra and Sharon Grade 2 & 3.  Full year of school, uniforms and supplies  ($600)

 

Sponsored Adult in Ministry – Rebecca working with children & families as social worker   ($600)

 

Supplied gifts for Ripples Staff at Christmas – 50+ in number  ($300 + $150 shipping)

 

Started lining up companies and contacts to supply children’s hospital:  TriMedx, Timmy Foundation, Project Care, Individual donors

 

Provided resources in books for Ripples Intl. ($250 + $74 shipping)

 

Began raising of support for shipping of hospital equipment  ($2500)

 

Launched new library in memory of Clo Ann Carnes Jones (Pastor Laura’s Mom): Over 1200 books collected (goal is 2000); will ship with hospital equipment

 

Bought one goat  ($250)

 

Raised support for Pastor Laura ($3000)

 

Assisted in medical treatment in U.S. and Kenya  ($1500)

 

Broadened sponsorship base as well as contacts/newsletter by 30%

 

Provided a monthly newsletter via on line

 

Produced 6 major mailings to a base of 450

 

Purchased new copier for AHN ($300)

 

Mailed three support packages  ($37 each)

 

Shared new vision with 2 new churches

 

Linked up three pen pals from Indiana to Meru, Kenya

 

Supported Brightwood Community Center.  Donation of one computer and set up ($500);  Funded donations of $400

 

Met with the Bishop about 2009 Campaign: Pennies from Heaven for AHN: Ripples Intl.
